Dear KISS family,
There is less than a month left until the big KISS event of the year: the KISS KRUISE LAND-LOCKED IN VEGAS! Over the coming weeks leading up to the event, we’ll be sharing details about the highlights of this spectacular gathering, taking place from November 12 to 15 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Naturally, the main attractions are the two live KISS performances: one electric show and one acoustic show. This year, both shows will take place at the Theater—unlike last year, when the acoustic set was held by the pool and garden area. There are also other performances, such as the Bruce Kulick band’s set, which—as always—is a huge hit with fans.
But as you know, there are also activities featuring individual band members. These are more recreational than musical, offering a chance to discover a more personal side of our idols. It all takes place in a relaxed atmosphere filled with laughter, yet also provides an opportunity to hear interesting stories, anecdotes, and more.
Here’s a look at the activities for each member:
PAUL STANLEY
Paul Stanley’s KISS Cook Off.
This year, the event is changing format compared to last time. Previously, Paul would cook a meal live—explaining every step—while a lucky few fans got to taste it. This year, it’s a competition.
Can you defeat «Starchild» in the kitchen? Paul puts the «Kruisers» to the test as he prepares one of his signature dishes; with Chef Colin’s help, they compete to recreate it and be crowned the contest’s grand champion. The food, the pressure, and the stories make this an event you won’t want to miss!
The event will take place on Sunday, November 15, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Ballroom.
GENE SIMMONS
Gene Simmons’ Private KISS Collection Show & Tell.
That is the name of «The Demon’s» event. Gene will showcase his private KISS collection—featuring unique pieces and untold stories. It offers a backstage pass into Gene’s personal KISS universe, hosted by Sienna Hernandez of KISSbySienna.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 14, from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM in the Ballroom.
TOMMY THAYER
Tommy Thayer’s KISS Army Live Band Karaoke.
Kruisers take the stage to sing iconic KISS anthems live, accompanied by Tommy on guitar and backed by The Ace Frehley Band! Hear stories behind the riffs and songs, and find out who will be crowned the cruise’s karaoke winner! It’s going to be an moment you can’t miss in KISStory!
Tommy’s super-fun karaoke event takes place on Saturday, November 14, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in the Ballroom.
ERIC SINGER
Eric Singer’s KISS Kruiser Drum-Off + Q&A
A drum-off contest and Q&A session with Eric Singer. Hop behind the kit and take part in the KISS Kruiser guest drum contest, where Eric will serve as both judge and host, sharing tour anecdotes during a fan Q&A moderated by David Frangioni of Modern Drummer.
The event with Eric Singer is scheduled for Sunday the 15th, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, in the Ballroom.
Which one do you find most interesting? KISS ARMY SPAIN will be attending all four; we’ll share the details and photos with you.
Podcast Rock City to be the event’s official podcast
We are also thrilled to announce that our good friend Joe Polo’s show, Podcast Rock City, will be the official podcast. They will be on board the KISS KRUISE, providing minute-by-minute live coverage of all the action via their YouTube channel. Artist and fan interviews, concert recaps, activity updates… they’ll cover it all!
Here is an interview with Anthony Diaz—CEO of Topeka and promoter of the KISS KRUISE—conducted on the podcast just a few weeks ago, in which he discusses what the event will be like this year:
