KISS ARMY SPAIN MEETS CHRIS K. LENDT IN NEW YORK CITY.

Last Thursday November 30th, 2023 part of the KISS ARMY SPAIN expedition that flew to New York City for the last two KISS shows ever, had the pleasure to share a dinner at a nice restaurant in New York with the legend Christopher K. Lendt.

C.K. Lendt who has been friends with KISS ARMY SPAIN for a few years now and wrote the foreword of our successful book «KISS DESTROYS MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 1977-2019» accepted our invitation of having a meeting with him, since we were going to be in the Big Apple to say goodbye to KISS. He attended this dinner with his lovely girlfriend Isabel.

As you know, C. K. Lendt was vice-president of Glickman/Marks Management, financial managers for KISS. He worked closely with KISS from 1976 to 1988 and was in charged of personal band member’s money, taking care of all band’s investments and deal with all different promoters who wanted to hire KISS as well as all the accounting on all the tours the band did during that period of time. Besides all of that C. K. Lendt is the author of one of the best, if not the best KISS book ever published: «KISS & Sell: The Making of a Supergroup» in 1997 which was released by Billboard Books.

The evening, of about three hours long, went by with a nice and delicious dinner and good wine which was even much more pleasant thanks to the unbelievable conversation with Mr. Lendt, explaining his years with KISS at their top and craziest era. He was widely open and willing to reply to all the questions that we asked him.

We thank him for his patience since at a certain moment that looked like a grilling session or press conference. Mr. Lendt who was also a business teacher at the New York University, is a very educated, well-read and polite gentleman. We knew all of this before, but what we could not imagine is that he was so humble, generous and good-hearted. He also enjoyed the meeting and congratulated us for our knowledge in the KISS world, something that surprised him and Isabel a few times. We are happy to know that he felt comfortable, to the point of sending us a message next day thanking us for such great time that he had with us and for the presents we took for him from Spain.

No doubt this was one more milestone in KISS ARMY SPAIN history which we feel very proud and honored. That’s why we want to share this story and photos with all of you.
